If you are a gym member
Ask your gym first. Your gym holds your membership, decided what was recorded about you, and can delete it immediately from their own dashboard. We act on their instruction, so going through them is faster in every case.
If your gym has closed, will not respond, or you would rather not go through them, contact us directly using section 3. We will need to confirm who you are and which gym you belong to before deleting anything. Otherwise anybody could delete anybody else’s membership history.
If you are a gym owner
Closing your account deletes your gym’s data, including your members’ records. That is not reversible, so do the export first. It is one action from the dashboard and gives you a spreadsheet of everything.
Tell us using section 3 and we will confirm before anything is removed.
How to ask us directly
Message us on WhatsApp or send an email. Include the phone number registered with the gym, the gym’s name, and whether you want your membership data deleted or an entire gym account closed.
We will reply to confirm your identity before we delete anything, and again once it is done.
What gets deleted
For a member:
- Name, phone number, email, gender and date of birth
- CNIC, if one was recorded
- Emergency contact details
- Medical notes
- Progress photos and body measurements
- Workout and nutrition logs
- Attendance history
- The member app login
For a gym account, all of the above for every member, plus:
- Staff accounts and their access
- Gym details, branding and message templates
- Uploaded files and receipts
What has to be kept, and why
Payment records are not deleted. When money has changed hands, the record that it did is a financial record, and a business is required to keep those for a period set by law rather than by preference. This is true of every business that takes payments; we would rather say it here than let you find out later.
What survives a deletion is the minimum needed for that: the amount, the date, the method and the invoice it settled. It is detached from your personal details, so what remains is a transaction, not a person.
Payment records are kept for 6 years from the date of the payment, which is what record-keeping rules ask of any business that takes money.
Backups are a second exception. Data already written to a backup is removed when that backup expires on its normal cycle rather than being rewritten. A backup written before your request expires within 35 days.
How long it takes
- We acknowledge the request within 2 working days. Support is answered Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm.
- Once we have confirmed who you are, the deletion is completed within 30 days, and we tell you when it is done.
- Backups holding data written before the request expire within 35 days after that.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Removing the Liftsol app from your phone removes the app. It does not delete your membership data, because that belongs to your gym’s account rather than to your handset and your gym would still see you in their member list.
To have the data itself removed, use section 1 or section 3 on this page. What is collected in the first place is set out in the privacy policy.
This page is the data deletion URL for the Liftsol apps: https://liftsol.pk/legal/data-deletion
